Wichita Family Crisis Center

The Wichita Family Crisis Center is a private nonprofit that empowers and strengthens families impacted by domestic violence. It operates three locations in Cowley, Sumner and Sedgwick Counties, providing education, advocacy and outreach services to help people increase their support networks and heal from trauma.

Stress/Trauma Assistance Team (STAT)

If you’ve been exposed to a traumatic event or disaster, STAT offers support to reduce the event’s emotional impact and accelerate the recovery process. COMCARE

COMCARE of Sedgwick County helps improve the lives of people struggling with mental health or substance abuse issues. Its Community Crisis Center offers 24-hour access to mental health and suicide prevention resources through its crisis hotline.

Mental Health Association of South Central Kansas (MHASCK)

MHASCK helps adults, youth and families address their mental health and wellness needs through education, advocacy and services such as care coordination and case management. You can contact their warmline to learn about community-based services that best match your needs.

Sedgwick County Suicide Prevention Coalition

If you or someone you know is having suicidal thoughts, the Sedgwick County Suicide Prevention Coalition can help. You can call or text COMCARE’s hotline. The hotline always prioritizes callers at risk of suicide.

Mobile Crisis Unit (MCU)

The MCU is offered by COMCARE and provides emergency assessments for people who are at risk of psychiatric hospitalization but can’t travel to the crisis center. When you call COMCARE’s crisis hotline, a representative will dispatch the MCU’s therapist and case manager to your home for assistance.

National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) Kansas

NAMI of Kansas advocates for families and individuals impacted by mental illness by providing a range of helpful resources.
